This vision of the festival is terribly grim. Not only are the savage Moors tearing the infidels to pieces, they're turning on their own. The picture accompanying the article appears to show a line of people waiting to ride on a carousel, but now we understand that they're actually queuing up to get their scimitars sharpened, or perhaps to watch the hideous spectacle of evangelical missionaries and Chaldeans alike being eviscerated like kebabs.
Well put, based on the commenters on Mlive I think it will be no problem handing out condoms & leaflets for keeping abortion legal at Christian festivals? Maybe people can just ditch their religions & get along instead.
ReplyDeleteThe level of hyperbole about the Arab Festival is fantastic. If you haven't been, it's basically overpriced, elephant ears, rigged carnival games and rides.
ReplyDeleteOne game this year was offering stuffed animal Rasta bananas (complete with dred locks and tri-colored hats) as a prize. Who know the divinity of Haile Selassie was an acceptable belief under Dearborn's Taliban-like Sharia Law?
Also, a couple kids sold me a can of Dr. Pepper from a cooler They appeared unmolested by the big government Marxist jackboot that (obviously) accompanies Sharia.
