It bears mentioning that no one quoted in this article actually uses the word "diversity."

NOBOMA appears unfamiliar with Detroit demographics. Per the 2000 Census (2010 data isn't yet available), the city of Detroit was 81.6% black, but Wayne County as a whole was 40.5% black. That doesn't represent forced racial integration. It represents the fallout of decades of white flight and disinvestment in the urban core.

Apparently the fearsome poor blacks have reached their clawlike hands up the socio-economic ladder only to drag nice white people like NOBOMA down past the rung marked "Third-World Abject Poverty." If NOBOMA finds proximity to black people an ongoing area of concern, perhaps he should move to New Hampshire, where there aren't any. If proximity to people is the problem, he should try Montana. Also, I suspect the number of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in a given community has little to no correlation with its racial composition.

To reiterate: just as every day is Heterosexuality Awareness Day, the vast majority of television shows that are not The Boondocks or 106 & Park are about white people. This has been a public service announcement. You're welcome.

Editorial: Why educational standards needed to be changed in Michigan

Five paragraphs and a lot of tortured syntax boil down to "Black people are stupid and don't deserve education anyway." I had to read the last two paragraphs closely to realize he's actually arguing against the Civil Rights Act. The real problem with schools today? "Both black and white students [have been] finally forced by law to exist in the same space." Other commentors are skeptical, but this comment is so poorly written it's probably legit.

I think if "NOBOMA" were a liberal troll, he would have spelled the president's name correctly.
